Somatheeram is the first Ayurvedic Beach Resort In India.
Since last 10 years we are offering all types of Ayurvedic Treatments In the
Traditional way, a unique combination of Ayurveda, Yoga and Beach Holidays.
We
have been bestowed upon with the Best Ayurvedlc Centre Award by Dept. of Tourism,
Govt. of Kerala for the fourth year In succession. Recently Somatheeram &
Manaltheeram have been accorded the "Green Leaf' status for the Ayurvedic
Centre given by the Ayurveda classificatlon committee, Govt. of Kerala.
Team of Doctors
The Somatheeram Ayurveda Hospital Is under the expert supervision of 12 Ayurvedlc
Physldans Indudlng 4 lady doctors. The whole team Is headed by Dr. C.A. Raman,
formerly Director of Ayurveda, Kerala Government. We are offering free consultation
to every guests. Our team of doctors are spedally trained for treating International
tourists.
Team of Therapists
We have a team of 65 trained Therapists who have undergone spedal training programme
for administrating treatment to International Tourists. Most of our therapists
hall from traditional Ayurvedlc Family.
Treatment Rooms
Always keeping our standard of deanliness In mind, we have 17 hygienically maintained
treatment rooms, out of which 06 rooms are open air rooms, having a panoramic
ocean view
Ayurvedic
Diet (Vatha, Pitha, Kapha Menu)
Diet Is an Important factor In Ayurvedlc Treatments. Over the years Somatheeram
has been following a spedal Ayurvedlc Menu, which was crafted by our team of
doctors, based on the research with reference to old Ayurvedlc Texts. Somatheeram
offers 259 different varieties of Ayurvedlc Dishes based on the trldosha properties.
Herbal Garden
The well maintained Herbal Garden at our premises has got various rare species
of herbs, some of which are threatened with extinction. More than 600 varieties
of Ayurvedic Herbs are preserved and most of these are utilised for special
preparations and treatment.
Medicine Manufacturing Unit
In these days, the availability of the genuine medidnes is a major problem.
To overcome this and to give our guests the best of service, we have our own
manufacturing unit which is under dose supervision of our team of doctors. A
research and development wing is also in operation.
Ayurvedic Courses
As you are well aware we also impart our knowledge of Ayurveda to interest guests.
We offer the following courses.
• Basic Massage Course, 10 days 20 Hours.
• Intensive Massage Course, 20 days 45 Hours.
• Basic Ayurveda and Panchakarma Course, 20 days 40 Hours.
Regular Lectures
We offer regular lectures on Ayurveda by eminent personalities from different
Ayurvedic Universities.
